Update

We have all the paperwork we need, and are just waiting till Tuesday! They are making us turn in the dossier the day AFTER our second anniversary, but its only another day!

We are already tired of waiting, and the process has barely just begun. But it seems as though Ethiopian children are popping up all over the place, which is good. We saw a sibling group in Target the other day, and Renee broke out in tears. We can not wait to be a Mom and Dad!

Final Home Study

We had our final visit yesterday, who know it took 3! The dossier is 99% done, we are just waiting on some things from our friends and boss!
Less than 3 weeks from now, we will have celebrated our second anniversary and will be on the waiting list. We found a website that had a lot of cool bumpers tickers and t-shirts and such, and they have a lot of Ethiopia and other country specific stuff. It is at cafepress.com    We enjoy our new stickers!

Things are finally starting to move quickly now. We started this process so early, that it feels like we have been working on this forever.
But on Friday we turned in the 600A
Monday is our final home study visit
Less than one month till we submit the dossier and begin the waiting time!

We are so excited!

1st Home Study Visit

We had our first HS visit yesterday. We are so excited to see the process begin to pick up some speed. We have less than 2 months till we can submit our dossier, and 600 A application.
The next visit will be in early January, after we return from all our traveling the next few weeks. The HS itself was no big deal, and was actually fun! We are really beginning to feel like this process is real....

Homestudy

We just got the call last night, we have a social worker and should be starting the home study visits soon... Like in the next 2 weeks! We are so excited  and a little nervous to see things begin to move forward!

Long time.......

IT has been a long time since I have updated this one. But we have finally seen some movement! Last weekend we spent about 8 hours in some PIP classes, Parents In Process, and now that those are done we can schedule the home-study visits. We still have 3 months before we can submit our dossier but time is moving quickly....

The classes were interesting and the dealt with some of the issues our kids and family will face. Mainly dealing with kids of a different race, attachment issues and such. It was good!
